Christmas Eve-Short but Sweet!

We left for Pella, IA on December 24th just in time to spend Christmas Eve with Annaleyza and Matthew's dad before they left for Africa (for a mission trip). They picked us up from the airport and then we went to their hotel room (where they were staying since they were leaving Christmas morning). Of course they had some presents for Cayden and he was pretty pumped about that. After we hung out for awhile, we went and ate dinner at a restaurant before heading on our way to Pella.
Here is Cayden opening his present from Aunt Annaleyza
It was great when he opened the present and saw that it was clothes and said, "cute" and threw it to the side and said, "More presents". I guess clothes aren't as fun as toys, but it was sure super cute. Aunt Annaleyza gave him a little Iowa Hawkeye warm up outfit, so cute! Cayden then wanted to try it on, perfect fit!!
Aunt Annaleyza also got him a Mr. Potato Head and Cayden loved playing with that! Thanks Aunt Annaleyza, we missed you!!!
Annaleyza had Matthew's name for Christmas, so we took a picture!
Opa and Cayden playing in the hotel-this was a sweet, precious time for Cayden and Opa. Cayden definitely missed him while he was gone and we are glad we got to see them for a little bit!!
Playing and Cayden loving every minute of it!
Even though our time with them was short, we are thankful that we got to see them for a little while before they took off for Africa! Hopefully we will be able to see them again soon!! Love you guys!
