New Looks!

We have been busy the past week or so! There seems to be so much going on so we are keeping busy!! Cayden has started to get some "new looks" over the past month. He surprises us with new things he does everyday. He is definitely full of life, which makes our lives rather exciting :)!! Here are some "new looks" Cayden has gotten over the past few weeks!
Sunglasses are now a must with Cayden although he doesn't always put them on the right way!
This isn't really a look but he now insists on holding babies. Here he is meeting Kaeley Grace Schuring for the first time. He kept saying, "I hold it"!
Kisses for Kaeley-awww!
Precious Kaeley-Congratulations Matt and Tara!
So we have kind of started potty training. I had him wearing underwear one day and he pretty much refused to go potty for around 4 hours. We had him sitting on the potty literally more than half that time. In the end, he went in the corner and had an accident-we will try again!
Here is the most drastic "new look". On Saturday Matthew and I just randomly decided to buzz Cayden's hair. Before I realized it, all of Cayden's hair was on the bathroom floor. Then I wanted to put it all back on because I wasn't so sure about it. Cayden did great and only started to cry a little bit when the hair was tickling his face and then getting in his mouth.
Sitting still :)!
Finishing up
Hair in my mouth! The finished product. He still looks pretty cute, but I am waiting for his hair to grow back now :)!
On Saturday night Uncle Brett watched Cayden so Matthew and I could go out!
We went to dinner and a movie. Nice to go out and do whatever we wanted! Thanks Brett!
Cayden has been practicing Wii Sports Resort. He is actually placing in the biking race and gets so excited when he crosses the finish line!!
Here is Cayden's favorite new look-Wearing his "football" shirt ALL the time. Can't leave home without it these days! Thanks Aunt Annaleyza, I am pretty sure this is now his favorite present :)

More Visitors-from the Midwest!

Matthew's parents flew in on Thursday night (the 18th) and stayed til Monday morning (the 22nd). They came just in time for our stressful weekend as we awaited Matthew getting matched at an internship or not. It was nice to have them here for such great news as he was matched and then as we found out that we will be heading up to Portland, OR in late summer. We didn't get a whole lot of sleep Thursday night but we were so excited so we spend the day celebrating. We went to the zoo, introduced Matthew's parents to fish tacos at Rubios, went to the park, and then pizza for dinner. Let's just say we got a lot of sleep that night :)!
Cayden was pretty adamant about pushing the stroller at the zoo-oh the life of living with a 2-year old :)
He was more interested in trying to color with Opa's pen then looking at the turtles!
O.k. now he is actually looking at some animals with Oma.
Three generations
I just like this picture :)
Some belated Valentines Day presents from Oma and Opa
Singing dog . . . I think Cayden likes it but I think we are getting sick of the music :)!!
Got a hold of Opa's pen and magazine again . . .
On Saturday we went to Bonelli State Park to walk around and let Cayden play. His choice of course was baseball!
This kid will keep playing until we force him to stop, looks like in the future I will have a lot of time spent at baseball games!!
Then we had to bust out the tricycle
And then we fed the ducks. Cayden absolutely LOVED this!

The rest of Saturday was pretty much eating. We introduced them to In-and-Out Burger, came home and hung out and then went out for dinner at BJs with Matthew's cousin Nathan and my brother, Brett. We followed this up with Guitar Hero and SkipBo (which the girls dominated!).
Sunday night group shot before putting Cayden to bed!
Cayden loves using the timer on the camera and likes to make cheesy faces, pretty funny and we are almost guaranteed a smile :)!
We had a lot of fun hanging out and spending some quality time with Matthew's parents. We are thankful that they were able to come out our way and see what we do in "our" area :)! Thanks so much for coming out guys, we really appreciate it!!! Love you!
