New Years Eve!

This year we decided to host our annual college friend New Year's Eve party at Matthew's parents house! Matthew's mom was wonderful and helped me do a lot in preparation for the party! I can't take a lot of the credit as she prepared a lot of the food and set it up! Thanks for all your hard work mom!!!
As you can see we had a huge turn out and were so blessed and thankful that we got to see all these people and meet some of the new kiddos from last year! With 16 adults and 11 children (and about 3 on the way), we had a crazy but wonderful time!
Hanging out :)

The kids were so crazy together but had a blast! Thankfully we had the run of the basement :)!
Eating chips right before bedtime :) Cayden and Matthew-only a few weeks apart!!!
We missed those of you who couldn't make it but there is always next year! So glad it was able to work out and we could catch up with everyone! So thankful that it is still so normal to be with each other after all these years!!!

De Haan Christmas Part 2!

On Thursday it was surprisingly in the 50s in Pella and Cayden was able to play outside the whole afternoon! He had a blast and even had a snowball fight with Daddy (which I completely missed :) )!
But of course Cayden had to ride the little motorcycle around!
And he kept trying to off road it, not smart as he could not get back on the road :)

That evening we celebrated Christmas with the whole family! We had a great dinner followed by opening presents and of course, family pictures :)!
Our family!!

And then Cayden opening presents!
Cayden got some more great things! Christmas seems everlasting in Cayden's world as we tend to celebrate it multiple times :)
Loved his new travel memory game from GG!
Thanks GG!

We had a great time and are so blessed that we were able to celebrate with both families this year even if it wasn't on the exact day!

De Haan Christmas Part 1!

We left really early on the morning of the 28th from Seattle to fly to Des Moines to spend about 6 days in Pella, IA with Matthew's family! Cayden did wonderful on the flights, it was Mommy that was so tired and had to sleep on the plane while Cayden played and watched his DVDs! We arrived there and had lunch in Des Moines before heading to Pella. We even got to see Matthew's Aunt, Uncle, and cousins from Michigan who were still visiting.
On Wednesday we headed back to Des Moines. For Christmas this year, Matthew's parents took us all to stay at the Ramada Inn where they have a pretty big water park inside for the kids to play at. Cayden and Bella both seem to like playing in the water so it was a lot of fun for them! Thankfully, I just got to be the photographer this time :) Maybe next year when I am not pregnant :)!!
Cayden going down the water slide!
Again
Big splash!
Cayden went on these slides a ton and would not stop!
Daddy was in charge of Cayden in the pool :)
Swimming with Bella

This was the best picture I got of them :)

After we went out for dinner we came back to the hotel to celebrate Cayden's 3rd birthday!
Here is the cake Oma got for him-the cupcakes were seriously so good!!!
I'm 3 (almost)
With Oma and Opa!
Bella was feeling left out so she joined in too :)
Sorry it is blurry but this was all I got of him eating his cupcake!
Bella really enjoyed these too :) She was soon covered in blue :)!
Oma helping out Cayden
Matthew got to open his birthday presents too from his family!
Oma and Opa got Cayden a pizza kit :)
Opening more presents!
Uncle Derek and Aunt Lindsey and Bella got Cayden some Legos!
Aunt Annaleyza got Cayden some sweet pop up soccer goals that were sent to our house and are now in our "soccer field" and are played with on a daily basis! Thanks everyone for the wonderful presents and birthday party for Cayden! We had a lot of fun spending time with the whole family. Thank you Oma and Opa/Mom and Dad for taking us and letting us make some good memories!!!
