Oh Christmas Tree!

I had told Matthew that once we had a place big enough to have a big Christmas tree that I wanted to get a real tree! So this was our year! Original plan was that we would go to a tree farm and cut it down but unfortunately the weather was yucky so although we still went to a tree farm we picked one out that was pre-cut (Matthew was thrilled about this :) )!

Getting it home was a different story as we strapped it on top of our car and drove about 20 mph so the tree wouldn't fall off :)

We were a little bit stressed as the cars piled up behind us but we eventually made it home safely :)
Then we had to let it dry in the garage in a bucket of water (AKA our cooler) overnight.
I think we left it out there for a few days and then finally brought it in (which was another process in itself) and began decorating!

Here is Cayden decorating our old little Christmas tree which is now his to decorate however he wants-this way I can still have my pretty tree :)
He tended to put all the ornaments towards the bottom of the tree which was super original and super cute!
