Thank Goodness I Don't Live on a Farm!

Against my better judgement, Cayden and I took a trip to Amy's Farm in Ontario, CA for a pint-sized adventure with GUM. It was just like I suspected: very dirty and very smelly. You would think that I have never been to a farm before but I have, I just never took a 2-year old to a farm. Since I am a little bit of a germophobic, this was the ultimate test for me. I think I did pretty well considering Cayden was running around in poop and petting all the animals. God was really testing me because I left ALL my baby wipes at home which caused a little bit more anxiety :). The main thing was that Cayden had a great time seeing all the animals, playing with his friends, and doing boy things: like getting dirty! I know that this is something that I need to work on in terms of being "o.k." with Cayden getting dirty and knowing there is always a bath tub where he can get nice and clean :)! Here are a few pictures from our farm adventure!
Cayden immediately started feeding the cows the hay!
Also covering himself in hay :)
Petting the kitty cat, I am thankful that Cayden doesn't share my fear of animals, so one goal accomplished!
Picking some organic vegetables to go feed the pig.
Feeding the pig and then watching him eat the yummy veggies!
Playing with Emma
Proof that I was actually at the farm and next to a VERY large cow named Tina!
Watching the cow
Brushing the pony: I am proud he is willing to try new things unlike his mommy!
One last time feeding the cow before going home!
So we made it! We conquered the farm and had a big scrub down when we got home. I was thankful to be nice and clean after 3 hours at the farm :)! I am also thankful that I do not live on a farm, I just don't think I would be very good at it! At least I am willing to admit my downfall :)! Hope everyone has a good week. We have a busy week ahead of us as my mom and sister are here and then Matthew's parents come on Thursday! So it will be a nice week hanging out with some family!
