Valentine Weekend in Arizona

Well we had a very busy weekend as we made our second trip to Arizona in a month!  This time we went to visit my parents and grandparents (who are snow birding there).  Wow!  Traveling 5 hours pre-Cayden didn't seem so bad but now is definitely a different story as Cayden hates to be strapped down for more than a few minutes :)!  The way there was rough but on the way home he slept almost the entire time!  That was an answer to prayer for sure!  We had a great weekend visiting with family, playing games, and of course entertaining Cayden.

Since we weren't home for Valentine's Day, Matthew sent me some chocolate-covered strawberries in the mail . . . such a cute idea!  Unfortunately I didn't receive them in time so our wonderful neighbors stored them for us til Monday.  Ooooops I ate one before I realized I needed a picture of them :)!
Saturday morning we went and met my Uncle Kevin, Aunt Melanie, and Nicolaas for breakfast.  We had a great time catching up and then taking time to go play at the park!                      Cayden playing with my cousin Nicolaas.  Of course he had a blast with the car!

He loves to ride on these things at the park, "look no hands"!
A picture of us all . . . taken for my Grandpa and Grandma De Yager :)!

Cayden loved that remote control car!
Grandpa had to help him though

Once again . . . My Valentine, I love this man so much!
My Grandma made us a yummy dessert for Valentines Day . . . So festive and excellent! Thanks Grandma!
That night we went to a pizza place where they have a HUGE organ and there is a organist playing while you eat your pizza.  It was fun.  Cayden wasn't so sure about it since it was pretty loud!

On Sunday we went to church and came back and had a delicious dinner cooked by my Grandma and then we all relaxed and took naps, talked, and played some games.
Here is Grandma feeding Cayden poppy seed bread after his nap!  He seems to be enjoying it!
One of the silly faces Cayden makes, he gets in crazy moods sometimes, it is hilarious!

The whole weekend we spent the night at Matthew's cousins, Heather's house.  She was so generous and let us stay there so we didn't have to squish in my Grandparent's trailer.  It was nice to have a separate place to put Cayden to sleep!  Thanks Heather!  We really appreciated it!
Here is Cayden playing with Riley before we took off!
Although it was a quick weekend, it was nice to be able to spend time with family.  We have really been blessed to see both of our families as often as we have since Cayden has been born!  We already have plans to see both of our families in April again but for now we are going to settle back into our place for awhile!

We loved having you all here to fill the house, you are welcome anytime and its great because Cayden and Riley can play, hopefully when Riley starts walking it will be even better.

You guys will have to give us tips when we travel with Isabella, luckily that won't be anytime soon because most of our family lives in the San Gabriel Valley. I can't imagine 5 hours in a car with a baby.

Also those were some fancy looking strawberries, my Valentines present from Michael and Isabella was a cold, can we trade. Just Kidding. :o)
