Welcome to Happy Valley, Oregon!

We arrived in Happy Valley, Oregon on Saturday, August 21 in the afternoon! This is when things got a little bit complicated and there is not a lot about the first half of the week I care to remember :) We got into our house and basically waited around until the movers showed up about 10:00 p.m. This was just one of the many things we were not expecting from the movers. Short story-they said they were going to come back the next day and finish the job and move the washer and dryer up the stairs and they did not. After many calls and complaints, they still never came back to finish the job. So when Matthew's dad showed up on Wednesday we rented a Dolley and moved them up the 17 stairs only to find out the dryer didn't hook up because it was gas. So we decided to move the dryer back downstairs in the garage where we could hook it up. A small glitch but we do have a working washer and dryer-they just are on different floors of the house. But I am thankful we have a working washer and dryer!!
Moving the dryer back down the stairs . . .
I didn't help so much, I just took the pictures!
And supervised Cayden taking a bath in his new bath tub :)!
Nice job guys!!!!
Back in the garage :)! The new permanent home for the dryer, hey on a positive our garage stays warm :)!
On Thursday August 26, we took the MAX-the public subway into downtown to Washington Park. Matthew's mom and I drove down there so that we could get Cayden back for a nap and the rest could hang out downtown to explore.
Anna was my photographer and I think they all enjoyed it a little more than what they seem :)
There is a smile!
Taking it all in!

Still riding . . .
Opa and Cayden watching out the window at all the scenery!
Finally at Washington Park where Cayden could play!!
And take a walk with Opa and Oma
And swing with Aunt Annaleyza!
Opa and Cayden hanging out in the new place! You can start seeing some pictures of our new house little by little :)!
Wrestling Opa to the ground :)
Then playing Wii with Opa
Me and Anna :)
So glad Matthew's mom was here to help us! We could not have done it without her. She helped us drive, clean, unpack, cook, and decorate all in a matter of days! Our new house felt like home by the time she left! Thanks for all you did for us!!!
Anna was also a wonderful help! Not only did she cook, clean, and unpack but she kept Cayden entertained while we were constantly working on getting the place in order! Thanks Anna! So happy you could be here to help us!!!
Matthew's dad came in on Wednesday and helped us sort out the laundry situation! Matthew was glad to have him here and get away from us crazy girls :)!!!
:)
There was a little bit of time for relaxation in the sun! Our new backyard, small, but perfect!!
Thanks once again Mom, Dad, and Annaleyza for all you did for us that first week! We were so blessed by all the help you gave us, could not have done it (as calmly) without you guys!! We love you!!
