So Matthew informed me last night that I did not do a single post in August. I guess it is time I try to play catch up from the past two months! The last two months have probably been some of the craziest times as we traveled, packed up, said good-bye, moved, and are now trying to get settled in Happy Valley, Oregon. So unfortunately the blog got put aside but now there are plenty of posts, so if you continue to check our blog, I will be posting more regularly now :)!
So let's go all the way back to July when we took our annual summer trip to Pella, IA! We left July 15 and stayed until the 24th. When we first got there Matthew's Vermeer side of the family were all there for the weekend and we had a family reunion where we were all able to hang out and catch up. We also were all there to celebrate Grandma Vermeer's 80th birthday. It was nice to have everyone there to be able to celebrate her!
Nathan and Cayden at Thursday Nights in Pella. This particular week they had big inflatables for the kids to go on, so Cayden was all about that!

In the bounce house :)

Getting some good air!

Riley and Cayden wanted to go down with Heather :)

Riley, Cayden, and Isabella

Cheeto Face-Cayden's favorite snack!

Uncle Eric and Cayden being silly!

Cayden showing Opa something :)

In the Pella town square with the Tulip Time Tower in the back. Opa and Cayden are watching the band!

Back at Oma's house playing golf with Riley!

Aunt Melinda cuts hair so we had her trim Cayden's mullet :)!

At Pizza Ranch getting spoiled by Aunt Annaleyza as she gave Cayden quarters for the Race Car Game!

Celebrating Grandma's 80th Birthday-not technically until the middle of September but since everyone was there it was the perfect time to!

Before Matthew's Grandpa Vermeer passed away he had the Vermeer Mill built-the largest working Windmill (Made by people who came from the Netherlands to build it) in North America! So it was nice to get a picture of everyone in front of it!

GiGi and her three great-grand kids!

Cayden's first time roasting a marshmallow with Aunt Annaleyza!

Having a Smore for the first time :)

Cayden and Mommy!

Drew became Cayden's buddy for the weekend as they both shared interests in Iphones!

Not to mention riding in golf carts! Drew even let Cayden steer for a little bit, so Cayden thought he was pretty cool!

Cayden and Riley before Riley took off back to Arizona!

And just because I love this picture! Cayden had a blast with all of the family. When everyone left he kept asking where everyone was! He loves lots of action!!!

We had a wonderful time hanging out with everyone! Looking forward to more reunions down the road! More of Iowa to come soon!!!
