Grandpa and Grandma De Haan Visit

Last week Grandpa and Grandma De Haan came and visited for about 5 days and we had a good time being able to spend some quality time with them. Grandma pretty much spent the entire time with Melissa and Cayden while Matthew and his dad had classes to go to (Matthew's dad was doing continuing education). Matthew's mom helped me decorate the house a little bit, so it looks a lot homier (is that a word?).So now I feel a lot more organized and can handle being at home a little bit more! Cayden got his first puzzle from Grandpa and Grandma and loved taking the pieces out of the puzzle (we have to work on putting them in). He has definitely proven that he is a boy through and through as he tries to destroy all the toys we give him :).
We took them to see Cayden at Gymboree and Cayden was all over the place, he enjoys his new found freedom of walking all over the gym.
On Saturday we went to a harvest festival at the church where I go to GUM. It was soooo HOT that day but we enjoyed walking around and visiting the pumpkin patch. Cayden thought he was in a patch full of balls, not pumpkins, and preferred eating the straw :). We were able to get some good "fall" pictures and Cayden was able to get his first pumpkin.

We decided to give Cayden his very own cell phone (Matthew's old phone) and he was so excited. We later found the phone in the toilet . . . so much for that.
Here Cayden is at his "slap happy" time right before he hits the wall at night. Let's just say that a few minutes later he was crying because he was tired :).
A three generations pictures (by some of our new decorations)!
We had a great time with them and Cayden definitely enjoyed being the center of attention. We are glad that we had a week with them and makes us realize just how much we miss being by family!! To see updated pictures visit our smugmug!
