February 6, Matthew went into Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital and had his 5th knee surgery. Back in early November, Matthew was playing sports with Cayden and twisted his knee funny and tore it up again :(. A few weeks of taking it easy and he could get around on it just fine but after discussing it with the doctor and with each other, we decided it would be best if he had the surgery to reconstruct his ACL and repair some damaged cartilage so that his knee would be stable while keeping up with his children :). So we planned it for the day after Nolan's dedication and Matthew's mom was willing to stay to help out for a few days! We were so thankful that Matthew's mom was there for the first few days (especially for me) as I became a single mom with three "kids" for the next few weeks! It was definitely nice to have some extra hands with Matthew and the boys! Thanks mom for staying to help-we really appreciated it! Just a few pictures I got:
The boys all eating macaroni-this was about the only way they could eat lunch with daddy!
Nolan "helping" daddy do his physical therapy! The knee a few days post surgery and no cast on!
I had to sneak a few pictures of Nolan reading his books! He is really content just sitting there looking at his books!
Happy boy!
Daddy and Cayden playing memory while daddy ices his knee!
Daddy and Cayden!
