Catch Up Time!

So I have been neglecting the blog a little bit.  Cayden has been taking up a lot of my time (as always) but more so than normal because he has been getting an attitude with us lately.  He knows what he isn't supposed to do and yet he still does it.  So we have implemented time out and I have really tried to be consistent.  It has seemed to pay off with some things but we are still working on other things . . . we will probably be working on many things for the rest of his life :). Not only has he been testing us more than normal, he has started to take revenge . . . meaning slapping us in the face, throwing tantrums, and doing a little river dance with some yelling.  We aren't quite sure how we are going to be handling all of this, it is a learning process for us as well.  If anyone has suggestions for discipline, we are pretty open to hearing your opinions, so let us know what you think!  So back to the catch up:

PLAY DATE WITH ISABELLA

Last week our neighbor, Andrea, and her daughter, Isabella came over for the afternoon to play.  Cayden and Isabella did very well with each other, we did work on sharing the toys :)! We had a lot of fun!

PARK DAY WITH DADDY

Cayden and Daddy had some bonding time at the park last Saturday!  Cayden loves to be with his daddy and it is also a great break for mommy :)!

CHRIS TOMLIN CONCERT

For Christmas/Matthew's birthday, Brett got us Chris Tomlin concert tickets and this included babysitting for the whole night!  What a great present this was!  This was our first real date since this past summer so we were really looking forward to it!  Brett came over in the later part of the afternoon so we could grab dinner too before the concert.

For the first time ever Chris Tomlin was doing a live taping for a DVD and also for the first time, the African Children's Choir from Uganda appeared on stage and sang along with Chris Tomlin.  This was probably one of my favorite parts of the concert . . . although the whole concert was amazing!
